I would like to properly apologize for the lack of activity on here, my Patreon account as well as Tumblr and other avenues I frequented. My husband and I have both been struggling with losing a lot of people last year to disease, suicide, murder and separation. It has been an uphill battle for us and it has taken a toll on my ability to work. We are both planning on seeking professional help this year because it is getting out of hand. When both of us desire to stop existing, neither of us is strong enough to help support the other through it…

As far as activity here is concerned, I will try to upload something once a day (even if it’s just sketches) so I always have something here to look forward to. Trying to regain my love for drawing has been incredibly difficult. Again, I deeply apologize for all the delays… Hoping to regain my strength this year in all aspects.

I am so sorry you had to battle with anxiety and depression. As someone who's suffering from these I understand. I am so sorry for your losses as well.

We don't see each other often nor do we hang out. We don't normally sit down and talk. I maybe just one of those people at the sidelines or that kouhai who stopped training under Batayola-sensei since I've graduated my PE years but I hope that doesn't stop me from saying, I'm here for you. We may not be close but know that if you need a friend, a hug or whatever you might need, I'm here.

I've had my share of loss too and it's a difficult thing to handle. I hope that someday, you'll find that warmth that your artworks can give you. And if you ever need someone to listen to, who might hardly talk mind you, I'm here for you. We're always here for you and your man. You don't need to feel bad about updates; it's all right. Take as much rest as you can and recuperate, I know you both need it.

Take care always, okay?

Hello I'm Kat,
I too am a fellow artist and suffer the depressions and such; with the loss of my pa I understand and wish you and your guy person all the warm things. I may be only a whopping two decades old, but I know that death is only a new level in life, much like the butterfly and its transformations. You both have so much to live for and so many people willing to lend an ear, all you have to do is ask. Art as a whole is power and expression that is much more than that of words. From what I see you two are amazing people and love to create. with somet things easier said than done, don't let this be the end of your artsy fartsyness; turn it into inspiration and teachings and above all, the strength to push forward in life, love and tranquility for you and the hubs.
Your fellow artsy fartsies are with you :D

All I can say is I hope the sun starts to penetrate the clouds and brings warmth to your heart.  I have not been around DA at all over the past couple years and I just read this, so I apologize for not sending you well wishes sooner.  Please take care.

Just to let you know, we're all still thinking about you and hoping things are getting better for you. You're a great talent and very much appreciated.
Ugh. The first time I read through this I had read: "While both of us desire to stop existing, neither of us is strong enough to help support the other through it…" and it was terrible.

well, it is still terrible, but at least I see there's the will to go through it. I hope things get better for you and your husband.

EDIT: I almost forgot the reason why I came to your page on the first place: happy birthday!

There's no need to apologize. I may've only just discovered you and your Gallery so I don't think my words will carry much weight, but the health and well being of you both is what truly matters.
I'll be faving a lot of what you've got and adding you to my watch (you're really talented and a lot of these works have some of the best emotional impacts i've ever seen in Artworks), but I hope that isn't misinterpreted as me expecting anything new asap (like many of the watchers you've already gained, what matters to us is your health and happiness. Art can wait).
It's good that you've taken steps to combat this battle with Depression + Anxiety, and considering it's been a little while since you wrote this I hope you two are gradually getting better.
I'm sorry to hear about the losses you and your husband have experienced, it's never an easy thing to lose people we care about. :(
Take all the time you two need, and I hope things get better for both of you. Take care and stay strong. Hug

There's absolutely no need to apologise. Your (and your husband's) health comes first. I very much commend you for recognising the need and subsequently making plans to acquire professional assisstance. It truly does help! And if––heavens forbid––you find yourself not quite jibing with whomever you initially start seeing, then don't hesitate to seek help elsewhere! What advice I can give I offer from personal experience: don't settle. Look for a therapist who "fits" and keep looking until you find the right one. It'll make all the difference in the world. Hug

Like the previous poster, I too well realise that there is little to nothing that I can say or do to ease your mind and lighten the load that you are both carrying. I've experienced some truly ass-kicking bouts of depression and anxiety as well, so I am both sympathetic and empathetic to what you're going through. Please just know that you've got your very own global cheer squad rooting for you both and sending out as many positive, healing vibes as we can muster! Handshake

Take care of you. We'll be here patiently awaiting your return. Heart Huggle! Heart

Please seek help and comfort from someone.
Art can wait;  there will be no more from you if you die.

I'm sorry for all the bad that has piled up on you and your husband in such a short time span. It would be overly cumbersome for anyone.
I wish all the best for you, and if you want someone to vent to, I will gladly listen.. I have my fair share of experiences with death and depression, so I can relate to some aspects, at least.

Please don't give up on life.

Words only amount to so much, but I hope nothing but the best for the two of you.
Knowing that you need help and actually seeking it is a great step in the right direction.
Since you're strong enough take this step, I have no doubt you can overcome your hardships.

Sending some love your way. I know how awful having depression and anxiety is, it is the literal pits. Keep going, keep trying. I finally got help after ~5 - 6 years of struggling and my life has gotten so, so much better. Hold on tight to that husband of yours and love each other as much as you can during this hard time. Take care. Heart

If it helps at all, know that you're not alone. I went through a similar drag of depression and anxiety a couple of years ago that dealt a major blow to my art. But it sounds like you're doing good things for yourself. Be gentle and kind with yourself as you find your way again. <3

Wishing you the best <3 Please take care of yourselves and just try to take things one step at a time. As long as you're doing that, you're still moving forward, you know? That's a HUGE accomplishment, so never feel like it isn't. I'm so sorry to hear about all of the things you've been battling, but it's great that you're trying to seek help. You're gonna pull through this, don't worry c:

I found this coincidentally. (I'm not a huge self-help buff but I was a psychology + neuroscience major so I follow a few science-journal-based psychology blogs.)…
To thwart the clickbaity title though: the answer is "doing small things for others".

May be tangentially helpful. \o\ dunno.

Sending love to both you and your husband. I've been on the same boat myself - and sometimes it helps just being able to say 'no' to things. Take time out for yourself, do things you like and be a little self indulgent. You both deserve it, so take time to savor the flavor and just be yourselves.

You shouldn't need to apologize to us for doing something for yourself; it's an illness. So medicate - get better - be awesome. We'll always be here.

It is sadly all too common that people who are so amazingly talented are oftimes so beset with troubles such as these. My wife and daughter both struggle with rapid cycling bipolar type II on a daily basis. As I watch them I do understand what you are going thru as well. Please, take all the time in the world that you need. You are precious in your own right and ever so remarkably talented. I look forward to whatever you will be willing to share with us.
